This is a beautiful multicolor "Queen's Castle" 12" oval platter by Alfred Meakin, England. The transferware pattern features a castle on a lake surrounded by trees, flowers, vegetation and mountains. The prominent colors are brown, blue and pink on the creamy white ironstone. The edge of the platter is gently scalloped, and the border has an embossed rope detail.
This charming piece is beautiful for display and nicely sized for use!
