This is a rare & stunning 19th century ironstone plate by Mason’s of England. The pattern, known as “Lyre Birds” features gorgeous natural elements combined with geometric shapes. The hand colored oranges pop against the dark brown transfer. The plate is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is an area of roughness & wear on the border of the dish well. I have highlighted this in the last photo.
